Sharada Group of Institutions was established by Tulunad Educational Trust which has its registered office at Kodialbail, Mangalore. The Tulunad Educational Trust, with its founder architect being Sri G. Haridas Acharya (Late) was established in the year 1990 to promote education to the knowledge seekers in the Karavali region with the intention of offering scientific education rooted to traditional Indian value system with an equal importance to nurturing and developing the five quotients (pancha kosha) in every student.

Keeping this goal in mind, the Trust gave wings to the various institutions under the Sharada Group, with Dr. M. B. Puranik at the helm of affairs. Sharada Vidyalaya at Kodialbail Mangalore was established in 1992 followed by Sharada PU College in the same campus in 1999, and Shubhodaya Vidyalaya, in the Vamanjoor campus in 2000. Sharada Vidyanikethana Public School, Talapady was established in the year 2006 followed by Sharada College (Degree) in 2010 and Sharada Vidyanikethana PU College in the year 2015. In the years 20018-19, the Ayurdhama Campus at Talapady saw the establishment of Sharada Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital and Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College & Hospital.

Today, the 10 institutions under the Sharada Group spread in four different campuses cater to more than 10,000 children at all levels; these children are not just from the Karavali region but from all over India and still counting...
