Sharada Vidyanikethana Public School celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2024 centered on the the topic'Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience '. The days events aimed to raise awareness about the critical environmental issues and to empower students to take action in their communities.
The days events commenced with a special assembly by students of Grade 6. Principal Mohandas addressed the assembly highlighting the importance of land restoration in combating desertification and building resilience. To cap off the day's events the students planted saplings providing a living example of drought resilience and restoration practice.Our little kids performed arati after planting the saplings. Students of grade 9 participated actively in school campus cleanup and restoration drive.
